About Us
Who We Are
The Anne Arundel County Firefighters Emerald Society, a 501c3 designated charitable organization, was established in January 2002, and Incorporated in 2019, to provide a fraternal organization for the firefighters of Anne Arundel County who share an interest in the Celtic heritage in the fire service; as a benevolent organization to support the sick, injured, or fallen members of the fire service and their families; to celebrate our Celtic heritage through education and social events; and to insure a continuance in our department of the Brotherhood that has been a tradition of the fire service.
Our History
In 2002, a small group of firefighters got together with an idea to start celebrating the Celtic heritage and help other firefighters and their families during sickness and injury. Since then the group donated thousands to help those in need and officially Incorporated as a nonprofit in 2019.
Our Mission
A charitable organization to support our sick and injured Brothers and Sisters of the fire service and their families during times of sickness, injury, or tragedy; to celebrate the Celtic heritage of the fire service while promoting and continuing a diverse and inclusive "Brotherhood" within the fire service
